If you are glancing at this listing based on the book's title and were seeking a salacious glimpse into the 1950s, particularly an exploration of societal views on the LGBTQ community, you've come to the wrong place. Beyond a smattering of cursory mentions, Hangout for Queers steers clear of topics like homosexuality or queer lifestyles. Instead, the sexual encounters depicted here are exclusively heterosexual and very male-oriented, making this a great example of 1950s sleaze fiction.

Charlie Evans, whose friends call him Hoss, is a retired airline pilot and the manager of Rileyville Airport and was surprised when a white T-Bird convertible pulled up and Jackie Speight, a beautiful blonde woman, asked for the manager.

Despite his reservations about her skirt, Charlie took her up for a free flying lesson in an old Piper J-3. They flew around the area, during which Jackie was instructed to spread her legs to allow the stick to come between them. Eventually, they arrived at the Burkhizer Retreat, abandoned for years. After landing, Jackie and Hoss shared an intimate embrace before taking off their clothing and making love in the grass and the lake. Afterward, Jackie revealed that she owned the property and invited Hoss to her motel room that night to hear her proposition of turning it into a resort hideaway.
