We design professional print interiors from finished manuscripts, including novels, memoirs, nonfiction, illustrated works and selected graphic-novel projects. Services can include page design and typography, chapter openings, running heads, front and back matter, pagination, trim and bleed setup, and properly prepared print PDFs.
Cover mechanicals, ebook conversion and alternate print editions are available by quotation. Pricing depends on manuscript length, complexity and the files you supply.

ARTWORK, IMAGE RESTORATION & AI-ASSISTED ILLUSTRATION
Different books need different approaches to artwork. We work with original human-created art, restored historical material, and optional AI-assisted imagery. These are distinct services, and we make that distinction clear in every project.
Working with Original Artwork
Have an artist's cover illustration, comic pages or interior images? We can prepare and integrate supplied art into a professional book layout, coordinate typography and page design, and check files for reliable print reproduction. We respect and credit the artists' work. New hand-drawn illustration commissions are not included but may be coordinated separately by arrangement.
Vintage Cover & Illustration Restoration
We can restore and prepare scans of older covers and illustrations, addressing wear, missing detail, color, contrast, typography and resolution while retaining the character of the original. Especially useful for pulp reprints and archival editions. Reproduction rights must be verified for each project.
AI-Assisted Illustration & Visual Development
When appropriate to the book and approved by the client, we can develop AI-generated chapter illustrations, interior spot art or cover concepts. Services may include creative direction, image generation, selecting and refining images, visual consistency across a series, and print-ready preparation. AI use is optional, identified clearly, and never implied to be part of every SLG book.
Clients receive clear information about which elements are AI-generated, as well as guidance on relevant publishing-platform disclosure requirements. Copyright protection for purely AI-generated elements may differ from that for human-created work.
PRINT FILE REPAIR & PREFLIGHT
Printer rejected your book? You may not need to start over.
If you already have a completed layout or PDF, we can inspect it for production problems and quote the work needed to make it compliant. Common issues include incorrect page dimensions, insufficient margins or bleed, font problems, image resolution, page-count errors and heavy ink coverage.
Choose a file inspection and diagnostic report or get a quote for corrective work. Some problems can be repaired directly in a PDF; others require the original layout files or more extensive reconstruction. We'll tell you what we find before proceeding.

Are you an independent publisher, editorial studio or book packager that needs reliable production support? SLG can work behind the scenes as your white-label book production partner. We can handle interior typesetting, print-ready file preparation, preflight and technical troubleshooting while you maintain the client relationship and publish under your own name.
Single-title assignments and ongoing production relationships are welcome. We can tailor workflows and deliverables to your imprint's specifications, without requiring public SLG branding or credit.

PRINT BROKERING AVAILABLE
Planning a larger print run? We can help you compare commercial printing options and coordinate quotes for projects of 1,000 copies or more. Tell us about your format, page count, binding, color requirements, quantity and deadline. We'll review the specifications and help find an appropriate production solution.
Print manufacturing, freight and other project costs are quoted separately. Print brokering is available for qualifying projects and is not limited to books designed by SLG.
HOW TO GET STARTED
- Tell us about your project. Are you looking for interior design, image restoration, optional AI-assisted illustrations, repair of an existing file, white-label production or bulk printing?
- Share the specifications. Include the trim size, approximate page or word count, black-and-white or color interior, binding, intended printer and timeline. If you're dealing with a rejection, include the printer's error message.
- Get a quote. We'll review the scope, let you know what source files we need and provide pricing before work begins.

Final file acceptance and manufacturing decisions remain with the print provider. Editorial services, original artwork and printing costs are not included unless specified in a quote.
